Manjunath Siddaiah-Subramanya
Manjunath Subramanya is a consultant Oesophago-Gastric, Bariatric and General surgeon. He graduated from Mysore University, South India and undertook surgical training in UK and Australia. His public appointment is at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital.
He trained as a specialist general surgeon in QLD, Australia after his move from UK. He then undertook further sub-speciality training in Upper GI surgery (through national board of upper GI training- AANZGOSA) at Perth and Austin, Melbourne, including a senior fellowship in Upper GI cancer and Hiatal surgery at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Birmingham, UK.
He has a strong focus on research and surgical education. In the process, he has led many projects resulting in multiple publications and international presentations, and two masters in the field of upper GI surgery and surgical education. He is on the editoral board of International Journal of Healthcare Simulation. He has been associated with various Universities during his training, which he continues to date, where he has been involved in teaching medical students, allied health staff, and as an examiner. He is an active educator on RACS training courses. He currently is an external faculty and examiner for Master of Surgical Education at the University of Melbourne.
